Servant Soldiers
“To lead with the heart of a servant and the resolve of a soldier; selflessly employing our God-given gifts in humble service to one another, standing firm in faith to protect the vulnerable, and remaining disciplined in our committment to uplift both church and community through love.”
Core Values
Disciplined Stewarship
We believe that every individual possesses unique, God-given gifts intended for the benefit of the whole. Following the mandate of 1 Peter 4:10, we commit to the rigorous, disciplined cultivation of these talents. This is not for personal recognition, but to serve as vigilant and dependable stewards who provide consistent, high-quality support to our church and community.
Courageous Compassion
Rooted in the metaphorical imagery of the spiritual soldier, we stand firm in our commitment to protect the vulnerable and advocate for justice and dignity. This value balances the “soldier’s” resilience with the “servant’s” heart – possessing the moral courage to stand for truth while remaining anchored in empathy and selfless care for others.
Humble Submission
In alignment with Galatians 5:13, we view our freedom and leadership as an opportunity to “serve one another humbly in love.” We respect status-seeking and control, choosing instead a volunteer culture where leadership is measured by one’s readiness to place the needs of the community above their own, modeling the perserverance and obedience of Christ.
Scriptural Alignment
1 Peter 4:10:
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
Galatians 5:13:
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.
