In mid-February, a press release went out to area media to announce the Singin’ & Swingin’ at the Hett on June 28, 2013. This event, following the very successful program featuring Christine Brewer last summer, will raise funds for LFUMC ministries, including the Accessibility Renovation Fund. Shirley Schaefer is heading up the team putting the event together.
Singin’ & Swingin’ will feature a distinguished group of McKendree University alums and friends. The six alums are Anna McNeely, Charles Rann, Richard Boyd, Susan Constance, Edward (Ted) Cook, and Mark Gifford. Anna will be joined by pianist Philip Fortenberry. They will be joined by local entrepreneur Ellen Leaf-Moore and area musical personality Norbert Krausz.
Tickets are available through The Hett box office, www.mckendree.edu/the_hett/. Tickets are $25 per person.
