All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.  Acts 4:32

Lebanon First has several ways that we can be in ministry through our material collections:

The Midwest Mission Distribution Center, Chatham, IL, is a depot affiliated with the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). The MMDC collects disaster relief materials to send to survivors of floods, fires, tornadoes, earthquakes and hurricanes around the United States and around the world. Most of the supplies are organized and sent in the form of “kits.” A large collection area in the Fellowship Hall has bins designated to collect items for health kits, layettes, sewing kits and cleaning buckets. There are brochures with all the details of the items needed.

The church is an active contributor to the Lebanon Community Food Pantry. Special collections in the summer focus on food items easy for children to prepare, with some special Sundays designated for persons to bring food. The rest of the year, members are encouraged to bring items to a grocery cart near Fellowship Hall.

In late summer, the church collects school supplies for children in the District.

During the Advent and Christmas season, the church has a history of great generosity to the Angel Tree and other community ministries.
